Hi, I am Kory Kensett.

That's my adorable little family up there, and that's me to the left. I'm a clumsy, lemonade lovin', thrift shop expert, who just so happens to love to document the lives of amazing people. I have been taking pictures since I was a kid, and it has always been something that has brought extreme joy to my life. I was gifted my first camera in 6th grade and its been my passion ever since. Going back to high school, I took advantage of every aspect of photography possible. I was yearbook photo editor and took every single art class I could, including graphic design. I entered many contests and was presented with many awards including Iowa High School Photographer of the Year 2011, Honorable Mention at Western Illinois University Photography Contest, various places in art shows including Fort Madison and Keokuk, First place, third place, and honorable mention in an Southeastern Community College Photography Competition, various Yearbook awards including first, second, third, and honorable mention in several categories.

After high school photography took a back burner for me. I was focusing on my family and our new home in California. My husband joined the Marines, and we were based in Oceanside, California abroad Camp Pendleton! Then we had our first child, and I was focusing completely on being a mother! She was the greatest gift to bless my life, and being a new mom is hard and trying. After a few years my husband exited the Marines and we moved back home to Iowa. We then had our second child!

Now we are back in Iowa, the kids are getting bigger, and I'm ready to put myself back out there and continue doing what I LOVE. I'm completely blessed and honored that I am able to do what I enjoy and bring memories and happiness to people and their families!

I had one of the most amazing experiences with Kory!! She paid attention to all the aspects of my session that I wanted and went above and beyond to create memories that will literally last forever! Kory you were very energetic and inspiring and I know you’ll continue to accomplish amazing goals within your career!
